What sample messages are provided with the products?

Sample messages relate to wet/slippery floors, toilets closed for cleaning, workmen in vicinity, cleaning in progress, and lift/escalator out of operation.

Can I customise the messages on the Talking
Kone or  Box?

Yes, using the recording kit accessory , you can program your own set of 8 messages. Because we use solid-state technology with no moving parts, you can re-record as many times as you like.

Can the products be used outside?

Yes, we have some customers using the products outdoors although the products do not have any official IP certification.

What is the range of the detectors on the products?

The Kone and Box will detect passersby up to 6 metres (20ft approx.) away.

What if I have an environment with continual people traffic? Will the message be replayed constantly?

The products offer a message delay feature which means you can select a delay period ranging from 5 seconds (none is default) to 1 hour. This means that the product will detect, replay, delay, detect, replay, etc.

What is the expected lifetime of a battery?

Provided the Kone or Box is charged on a regular basis, the battery should last for at least 2-3 years. Replacements are available from after-sales service.

How long does the battery last between charges?

We estimate around 60 hours of use assuming an average message length and message delay? However, we would recommend that a Kone or Box is charged at least once every few weeks for the sake of battery longevity.

How long does it take to charge?

It depends on how much the unit has been used. Overnight is normally sufficient.
